Substance Abuse Problems:
Who, What, Where, When & Why? 

The goals of this module are to:

  • Describe the basic epidemiology of substance abuse
  • Explore descriptive epidemiologic data: what it is and how to use it
  • Consider how to evaluate causality vs. association using the example of marijuana as a gateway drug
