Learning objectives for this Activity:

The overall learning objective of this presentation is to describe the basic structure and function of actin and its role in cellular physiology. Specifically, at the completion of this module you will be able to:

1. Describe actin and the structures it builds within the cell.

2. Describe the actin-myosin interaction and its regulation in non-muscle cells.

3. Demonstrate how actin interacts with actin-binding proteins and the roles they play in cellular movement.
