Describe the concept of drug clearance
Recognize the impact of renal dysfunction upon potential toxicities of renally cleared drugs
Recognize the causes, signs, symptoms, and treatment of hypoglycemia
Describe adjustments in diabetes medications in the setting of renal dysfunction
Use the half-life equation to quantitatively estimate changes precipitated by renal dysfunction in the time required for drug elimination
